π️ Sidelines to Statelines: Florida’s Emerald Coast Camping Trip
There’s something about packing up your life, loading the truck like it’s game day, and heading somewhere that feels completely different from the sidelines…
This time — we traded cleats for flip flops and stadium lights for Florida’s Emerald Coast sunsets
And let me tell you…
π camping + the beach + kids = chaos… but the GOOD kind.
π Why the Emerald Coast is PERFECT for Sports Families
If your family is constantly running from practice to games to tournaments…
THIS is your reset button.
✔️ Easygoing vibe (no pressure, no schedule)
✔️ Budget-friendly compared to resorts
✔️ Kid-approved (sand + water = automatic win)
✔️ Plenty of space to unwind (finally π
)
It’s the kind of trip where:
no one cares what time it is
snacks count as meals
and memories happen without trying.

π️ Where We Stayed: Splash RV Resort (Milton, FL)
We stayed at Splash RV Resort — and honestly… it was the perfect home base for our Emerald Coast trip.
It gave us the best of both worlds:
π campground vibes for the kids
π and easy access to Pensacola + Navarre beaches
π¦ Why We Chose It
As a sports family, we’re used to go-go-go schedules…
so I wanted something that felt like a trip, not another event.
Splash RV Resort delivered that.
✔️ Close enough to the beach (but not the chaos)
✔️ Space for the kids to PLAY
✔️ Relaxed, family-first atmosphere
π What the Kids Loved (aka… the real review π)
Splash pad + water features
Pool time after the beach (yes, they still had energy π
)
Playground + open space to run wild
Meeting other kids camping nearby
π Basically… instant friendships + zero boredom
What I Loved (sports mom edition)
It felt safe + clean + easy
Not overly crowded like beachfront spots
Way more relaxing than a packed hotel
A place where I could actually sit for a minute (rare π)
And after long beach days…
coming back here felt like a reset.
π Location Perks
One of my favorite parts?
We could explore multiple areas without moving camps:
π Navarre Beach → calm, family-friendly water
π️ Pensacola Beach → more action + views
πΎ Santa Rosa Beach → scenic + slower pace
π It made the whole trip feel bigger without being stressful
π‘ Honest Take (because we keep it real here)
you’re expecting: ❌ luxury beachfront resort
❌ walk-out-to-the-ocean camping
This isn’t that.
BUT if you want: ✔️ affordable
✔️ family-friendly
✔️ fun for kids
✔️ less stress
π this is SUCH a win
