The Ultimate Family Guide to the Ark Encounter & Creation Museum

Image
If you’re looking for a meaningful family trip—especially during Easter or Holy Week—this one hits different. Between the size of the Ark, the message behind it, and just being able to walk through it with your kids… it’s something you don’t forget. We recently visited the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum , and I had SO many friends asking for details, I knew I needed to put everything in one place. 📍 Where They’re Located Ark Encounter — Williamstown, KY Creation Museum — Petersburg, KY 🕒 About 45–50 minutes apart 💡 Tip: Stay somewhere in between OR closer to the Ark if that’s your main day. Highlights: Creation-based exhibits + timeline Beautiful outdoor gardens 🌸 Walking trails + zoo Planetarium (extra but worth it) My Take: This one feels more like a museum + peaceful outdoor experience vs the WOW factor of the Ark. Where to Stay: RV parks Family-friendly hotels nearby Where We Stayed: We stayed at a state park  Big Bone Lic...

God has C̳O̳N̳Q̳U̳E̳R̳E̳D̳ death

🕊️ God Has Conquered Death A Victory Greater Than Any Game There are wins… And then there is THE win. As sports families, we live for the scoreboard moments. The buzzer beaters. The walk-off hits. The championship rings. We understand what it feels like to fight hard, to push through, and to celebrate victory. But there is one victory that stands above them all— A victory that didn’t just change a game… 👉 It changed everything. ✝️ The Ultimate Comeback When Jesus went to the cross, it looked like defeat. The crowd went silent. Hope felt lost. The “game” seemed over. But what looked like loss… Was actually the setup for the greatest comeback in history. Three days later—He rose. Not just as a miracle. Not just as a moment. But as a declaration: 👉 Death has been defeated. 👉 Sin no longer has the final say. 👉 Victory belongs to Him. 🏆 Playing From Victory, Not For It Here’s what hits me as a sports mom… We spend so much time teaching our kids to play for the win. Train harder. Run f...

Baskets & Blessings: A Faith-Filled Easter Basket Guide for Kids

Image
We’re kind of kicking the Easter Bunny to the curb (just a little 😅) and filling our baskets with more of the real reason for Easter The Heart of Our Baskets This Year A Talking Jesus Doll   At first, I thought it was just a cute idea… but hearing it play in our home? It felt peaceful. Grounding. Comforting in a way I didn’t expect 🥹 In a world that’s constantly loud and busy… I want my kids to hear truth, love, and faith. And this just felt like a small but powerful way to do that. What Else Is Going in Our Baskets I still keep it fun (because kids 😂), but I’m being more intentional about adding faith-filled pieces too. 7 year old girls blessing basket: Talk Jesus Doll Jesus stickers Inspired To Grace bible verse coloring Coloring supplies  book for girls Chocolate cross M&ms carrot bag Mini chocolate eggs Homemade marshmallow crosses Swig Life medium cup coolie Lip balm 10 year old boys blessing basket: Talking Jesus Doll Crochet Doll Scripture Christian Gifts for Boy...

Image
There’s something about packing up your life, loading the truck like it’s game day, and heading somewhere that feels completely different from the sidelines… This time — we traded cleats for flip flops and stadium lights for Florida’s Emerald Coast sunsets  And let me tell you… 👉 camping + the beach + kids = chaos… but the GOOD kind. 📍 Why the Emerald Coast is PERFECT for Sports Families If your family is constantly running from practice to games to tournaments… THIS is your reset button . ✔️ Easygoing vibe (no pressure, no schedule) ✔️ Budget-friendly compared to resorts ✔️ Kid-approved (sand + water = automatic win) ✔️ Plenty of space to unwind (finally 😅) It’s the kind of trip where: no one cares what time it is snacks count as meals and memories happen without trying. The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Image
🎄The Most Wonderful Time of the Year🎄 Faith • Family • Game On – A Patriotic Sports Mom Holiday Story --- The Most Wonderful Time of the Year There’s just something magical about this season, isn’t there? The lights twinkle a little brighter, the cocoa tastes a little sweeter, and the traditions hit a little deeper. As moms, we feel the rhythm of the holidays differently. We’re the keepers of memories, the creators of moments, and the ones who hold together the hustle, the heart, and the home — even when December feels like a full-court press. This is the time of year when faith, family, and sports blend into one beautiful, chaotic, joy-filled season. One moment we’re decorating the tree, the next we’re lacing up cleats for a winter tournament or running a last-minute dance rehearsal. But honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. --- Where Faith Meets Festive In all the busyness, I try to anchor myself in the reason for t...

The Final Whistle

Image
There’s a sound every football mom knows by heart — that last whistle. It echoes through your chest, cuts through the noise, and somehow marks both an ending and a beginning. Tonight was that moment. The final whistle of middle school football. The end of one season and the start of something bigger. I stood in the bleachers, tears mixing with pride, knowing that every early morning, every muddy uniform, and every cheer was worth it. The Final Whistle There’s something about the last game of a season that hits different — but this one? It was the last middle school football game. The last time I’ll see him run onto that field in that jersey, surrounded by the same faces who’ve been part of this team since it all began. The Journey From little league to middle school lights, it’s been years of dirty laundry, broken mouthguards, halftime snacks, and heart-racing plays. Every game felt big, but this one… this one carried the weight of time. The boy who once needed help tying h...
