The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

There’s just something magical about this season, isn’t there?
The lights twinkle a little brighter, the cocoa tastes a little sweeter, and the traditions hit a little deeper. As moms, we feel the rhythm of the holidays differently. We’re the keepers of memories, the creators of moments, and the ones who hold together the hustle, the heart, and the home — even when December feels like a full-court press.

This is the time of year when faith, family, and sports blend into one beautiful, chaotic, joy-filled season. One moment we’re decorating the tree, the next we’re lacing up cleats for a winter tournament or running a last-minute dance rehearsal. But honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

Where Faith Meets Festive

In all the busyness, I try to anchor myself in the reason for this season.
The tiny nativity set on the shelf.
The glow of candles during quiet nighttime prayers.
The reminder that peace, hope, and love all began in a humble manger.

Even when we’re juggling gift lists, sports schedules, and school parties, taking a moment to breathe in the meaning grounds everything. This is a season of gratitude — for blessings big and small, for the strength to do what we do, and for the family God entrusted to us.

Family, Traditions & Team Spirit

Whether it's baking cookies, watching holiday classics in Christmas pajamas, driving through neighborhoods to see the lights, or attending that annual holiday tournament where everyone’s bundled up and cheering… these moments become our family's legacy.

In our home, we mix family traditions with sporty fun — because of course we do.
From Game Day Hot Cocoa after practice to our Jingle Jock holiday candles burning during gift wrapping, Christmas in our house smells like cinnamon, cocoa, and team spirit.

Every year we add one new tradition — something small, something meaningful. This year? We're embracing more gratitude moments, more handwritten notes, more creating and less rushing.

Sports Don’t Stop — and Neither Do We

While many families slow down for the holidays… sports moms know better.
There are still practices, winter leagues, tournaments, and late-night drive-thrus with hungry kids in cleats.

But here’s the blessing:
Sports give our kids confidence, community, and character — the best gifts they could possibly receive.

So yes, we’ll be cheering in the cold, carrying giant water bottles and dance bags through frost-covered parking lots, and keeping snacks stocked like it’s a second job. Because this is what we do. This is part of our joy.

Finding the Magic in the Middle of the Madness

Here’s what I’ve learned:
The magic isn’t only in the big scheduled moments.

It’s in the tiny ones:

✨ The glow of Christmas lights bouncing off your little athlete’s joyful smile.
✨ The proud feeling when they practice harder simply because they love the game.
✨ The way siblings bond during holiday break.
✨ The comfort of coming home to warm soup, cozy candles, and a house full of love.
✨ The satisfaction of doing this wild, beautiful season together.

Sometimes being a mom during the holidays feels like overtime.
But it’s where the memories are made, and where the meaning comes alive.

A Blessed, Sporty, Joy-Filled Christmas Season

As we move into another December filled with family, games, traditions, and grace, I hope you feel the magic soaking into every corner of your home.

Remember:
You don’t have to do it all perfectly.
Your love is enough.
Your presence is the gift.
And your home — with all its busy, beautiful chaos — is where holiday magic truly lives.

From my family to yours, I hope this season is full of joy, peace, and moments you’ll treasure forever.
